Puttur: Guest lecture on Biometrics held at St Philomena College

Puttur, 26 Oct 2015: The department of PG studies in Computer Science, St Philomena College here, organized a guest lecture on ‘Biometrics’ at their conference hall recently.

 

 

Harivinod N, Assistant Professor, department of computer science and engineering, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, here was the resource person.

 

He explained various techniques followed in fingerprint, iris, face recognition etc. He also motivated the students to go for higher research by choosing the issues related to the existing system.

 

Professor Govinda Prakash, co-ordinator of the department, faculty members Professor Praveen N, Professor Sooryanarayana Bhat and Professor Akshatha B were present.
