Mangaluru: Beary community lays emphasis on communal harmony - B A Moideen

Mangaluru, 18 Oct 2015: Beary community who is proud of their background always lays emphasis on communal harmony. Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy played key role in in this regard, said Karnataka former education minister B A Moideen.

Moideen was speaking during Beary literary and cultural splendor programme that was organized by Beary Sahitya Academy at Krishnapura, near here on Saturday October 17.

Moideen also urged the community not to squander money on mere entertainment and lavish living, instead live for eternity.

 

 
The litterateur Mariam Ismail, midwife Mariamma Krishnapura and traditional medicinal practitioner Khatijamma were felicitated on the same occasion. 

 
The Academy registrar Ummarabba welcomed the gathering. Zohara Abbas proposed vote of thanks. Abdul Hameed Goltamajal compered the programme.
