Key witness in Prashanth murder case ends life

 

Mangaluru, 16 Oct 2015: In a shocking incident, the key eyewitness in Prashanth Poojary murder case committed suicide on Thursday, October 15 by hanging himself in a shed of his daughter’s residence.

 

The deceased is Vaman Poojary (68), a tender coconut vendor who ran his business next to Prashanth’s flower shop in Moodabdiri.

 

When Prashanth was hacked to death on October 9, it is said that Vaman was present and had spotted the killing.

 

It is said that Vaman was deeply affected by the killing and had turned sullen ever since Prashanth was killed.

 

On Thursday, Vaman went missing and rumours were rife that he had been kidnapped. However, he was found hanging in a shed at his daughter’s residence near Swaraj Maidan by evening.

 

Moodbidri police arrived at the spot and investigations are on.
