Mangaluru: Yamaha Training School first Graduation Day held at St Joseph’s ITI, Jeppu

Mangaluru, 23 Sep 2015: India Yamaha Motor Private Limited in joint venture with St Joseph’s ITI, Jeppu here marked the graduation of first batch of students after 1 year of training from Yamaha Training School (YTS) here recently.

 

All the students of first batch were given the appointment letter during their graduation ceremony and are placed among Yamaha network. Also fresh students of second batch were welcomed and were given Yamaha uniforms during the occasion. Technical experts from Yamaha Motor India Sales Private Limited are conducting the YTS program on behalf of India Yamaha Motor Private Limited.

 

 

Present at the event, Andrewson and Rajesh Bhandary from Yamaha, said: ‘At present, there is a huge skills gap in the two wheeler industry which is fast expanding, on the other hand, a large number of unskilled youth are being pushed towards unemployment creating hindrance to the nation’s development. This partnership is meant to address this very concern by providing a platform to the economically weaker and unemployed youth to obtain a job oriented technical training in two-wheeler repair and servicing that meets industry standards. Upon successful completion of the course, students received certification for their skill which is helping them gain suitable employment within the industry.’

 

As a part of its continued CSR initiative,  India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd is poised to adopt Government/ Private Technical Institutes and to partner with reputed NGOs across India to launch Yamaha Training Schools with Yamaha Technical Academy (YTA) certification. Yamaha also plans to launch YTS at each Yamaha Technical Academy (YTA) spread across India to encourage the economically weaker youth to master Yamaha technology and get employed at Company dealerships.
