Udupi/M’Belle: Boys Volleyball Team of St. Lawrence EM Higher Primary Udupi Dist. champions

Udupi/M’Belle, 11 Sept 2015: For the first time, the Higher Primary Boys Volleyball Team of St. Lawrence English Medium High School, Moodubelle emerged as Champions at the Udupi District level in the tournament held at the Government High School, Hiriyadka on Thursday, 10 September 2015. Five teams from different zones participated in the tournament. St. Lawrence English Medium Higher Primary team emerged victorious after defeating Government Higher Primary School, Ajekar, Karkala by an impressive score of 25-15 and 25-23.

 

The captaincy of Daron Anush Monis, relentless training by the Physical Instructor, Bharath Shetty, encouragement from Headmistress Mrs. Veera Fernandes, who herself had been an ardent sportswoman and believes in encouraging sports along with studies and whole hearted support from Rev. Fr. Clement Mascarenhas-Correspondent of St. Lawrence Educational Institutions enabled the Higher Primary Boys Volleyball Team of St. Lawrence English Medium High School to score this brilliant victory at the district level. 

 

Next, the Higher Primary Boys Volleyball Team of St. Lawrence English Medium High School will participate in the Divisional Level Tournament that will be held at Mangalore.

 

Rev. Fr. Clement Mascarenhas and Mrs. Veera Fernandes have expressed happiness at the achievement of the team, congratulated each and every player for their stellar performance and have wished them well for the Divisional Level Tournament.
