Karkal: Mother Theresa saw God in serving outcasts - Fr Lawrence

Karkal, 27 Aug 2015: Mother Theresa found God in serving the poor and downtrodden, outcasts in the society, said Fr Lawrence B D’Souza, parish priest of St Joseph’s parish, Belman, near here.
Fr Lawrence was speaking after inaugurating birth anniversary celebration of Mother Theresa and children’s blood grouping that was organized by Lions Club of Belman, at St Joseph’s Kannada and English Medium Schools, Belman, near here on Wednesday August 26.
Lions district secretary N M Hegde said that Lions Club has been involved in social welfare activities like Mother Theresa and strives to instill the spirit of social service among the students.
Chaivana Laborary Diagnostic Centre managing director P A Bhat spoke on the need to know blood grouping and also shared health information.
Lions Club – Belman president Vishwanat Patkar presided the programme.
The convent superior Sr Usha Stella, Lioness Club secretary Mayacharan was present at the dais.
The high school physical training teacher Haridas Prabhu, senior teacher B Pundalika Marate, Vincent Pinto, lab assistants were present.
Vishwanat Patkar welcomed the gathering. Lions Club secretary Punaru Raghunat Nayak proposed vote of thanks.
