Mangaluru: Former PM Rajeev Gandhi architect of modern India - MLA J R Lobo

Mangaluru, 22 Aug 2015: Mangaluru south youth Congress led the birth anniversary celebration of the former PM Rajeev Gandhi by distributing fruits to the inmates of Bhagini Samaj, Jeppu Market, here on Friday August 21.

 
Speaking on the occasion, Mangaluru south MLA J R Lobo said that the former PM Rajeev Gandhi is the architect of modern India.  He has contributed for India’s advancement in information technology.  His long range plans created revolution in computers, telecommunication and industries.  He is the harbinger of granting voting rights to 18 years old.  He laid down his life for the country,’ said MLA Lobo.

 

The deputy mayor Purushottam Chitrapura, district youth Congress president Mitun Rai, Mangaluru south youth Congress vice president Ramanand Poojary, president Meryl Rego,  Bhagini Samaj administrator Shanti Pai also spoke on the occasion.

 
The corporators Ratikala, Shailaja, Kavita Vasu and Abdul Latif, Congressmen T K Sudhir, Namita Rao, Benet D’Mello, Hussein Bolar, Stany Alvares, Krutin Kumar, Uday Kundar, Durgaprasad, Suhail Kandak, Sandeep Kumar, Gowtam, Uday, Denzel, Herbert D’Souza, Nagendra Gowda, Ashok Kutupady, Nawaz Jeppu, Kirtiraj, Varunraj and others were present.
