Mumbai: BSKBA celebrates Independence Day at Gokul, with cultural shows

Mumbai, 18 Aug 2015: Bombay South Kanara Brahmin Association (BSKBA) celebrated the sixty-ninth Independence Day at Gokul, here on Saturday August 15.
BSKBA president Dr Suresh S Rao hoisted the national flag at Gokul premises, Sion (East) here on Saturday at 9.30am. The cultural shows began with senior citizens, followed by women.
Kannada drama, Angulimala was staged by the women directed by Shailini Rao.
After the lunch, the youth wing presented laughter session titled Gokul News, directed by Pranav Udupa.
Gururaj Bhat, Chandrashekar Bhat and Vinodini Rao compered the programme. BSKBA president Dr Suresh Rao presented Gokul Project Vision – 2020 on the occasion.
Kushala Vasu Shetty Bunts Care Services led by Dr Ratnakar Shetty and Dr Geethanjali Amin held free health checkup camp on Saturday at 10.00am.
Indian Overseas Bank retired chairman M Narendra and IDFC chief executive office Sadashiv S Rao was the chief guest of the occasion.
BSKBA secretary P C N Rao welcomed the gathering. Asha Bhat and Kusum Srinivas introduced the dignitaries. Variety entertainment programmes were held to conclude the event.
