Mangaluru: Fisheries farming goes on top gear at Pilikula Boating Lake

Mangaluru, 03 Aug 2015: Over 20,000 tiny fishes were released at 7-acre Pilikula boating lake, Moodushedde, here on Monday August 3, at the leadership of state minister for youth empowerment, sports and fishers K Abayachandra Jain.

 

 

DK district Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim, ZP CEO P I Srividhya, Pilikula Nisargadhama executive director S A Prabhakar Sharma, Pilikula Botanical Park director Jayaprakash Bhandary, fisheries department deputy director M D Prasad, PWD executive engineer Kantaraj, Mangaluru municipal commissioner Gokuldas Nayak, Pilikula Nisargadhama governing council members N G Mohan, Subbaya Shetty and Dr Chandrashekar Chowta and others were present.

 

The minister Jain also felicitated Dr Nazir, who has been advising on fisheries farming at Pilikula boating lake since many years.
