Bantwal: Aatid Kesardonji Dina, daylong rural games meet held at Vittal

Bantwal, 19 Jul 2015: Farming and sages form Indian culture. There lies a greater need to involve youth in farming that is the backbone of our country. One has to work towards restoring confidence among the farmers, said Gurudevanand of Odiyoor mutt, near here.
Swami Gurudevanand was speaking after inaugurating Aatid Kesardonji Dina, daylong rural games meet that was organized by Tuluvere Koota Ittel, Vittal, near here to mark their decennial celebrations in association with Bantwal taluk working journalists Association, Odiyoor Gram Vikas self-help-groups, Manila – Sri Dhama Mahalaxmi Seva Pratistan and Bhootanateshwar Kreedotsav Samiti – Yedapadav at the paddy field of Panchalingeshwar temple, Vittal, near here on Sunday July 19.
Speaking on the occasion, Karnataka state former minister J Krishna Palemar said, ‘It’s a healthy sign to create awareness on farming in the rural villages. The sustenance of farming lies in our survival. The youth should take the lead in fostering Tulu culture. One got to work on fields’ day rather than be on the field for a day. The farming should get its due importance,’ said Krishna.
Vittalanat Shetty Yedapadav, president of Shastavu Bhootanateshwar Trust managing trustee, presided the programme.
Ashok Rai of Rai Estates – Puttur, Vittal entrepreneur Subraya Pai, Vittal Aramane Krishnayya K, Rajesh Vittal and others were present.
