Udupi: Chartered Accountancy - A Career of Respect & Status: CA Kiran Vasanth

Udupi, 17 Jul 2015: The long-awaited coaching for professional course in Common Proficiency Test (CPT) was inaugurated at St Mary’s College, Shirva, near here on Thursday July 16.

 

The PG department of commerce of the college pioneered in organizing the CPT coaching to the students of the College and nearby colleges.

 

 

Inaugurating the course, CA Kiran Vasanth, Mangaluru stated that India faces acute shortage of Chartered Accountants presently which is a career of respect and status. The demand for CAs approximately stands at six lac but only two-and-half lac are practicing now in India. There is, therefore, an enormous scope for this profession in the country.

 

The programme was presided by Fr Stany Tauro, correspondent of St Mary’s and Don Bosco Institutions, Shirva, near here.

 

Fr Stany in his presidential speech appreciated the presence of parents along with the aspirants with hope and expectations. He assured them that the faculty conducting the course is sure to fulfill their expectations and wished the course every success. Prof. Rajan V.N., Principal in his address stated that this small step taken towards the professional education will help the students to take a giant leap in the future in their career. Further, he assured that the institution will provide all the necessary infrastructure and faculty needed for the success of this coaching.

 

Professor Jagadeesh, co-ordinator of PG department of commerce and the course guide welcomed the gathering and briefed about the structure of the course. He also said mere graduation is insufficient to form a better career and this coaching will help the students to have a career distinct from others.

 

About 30 students along with their parents were present for the pragramme.

 

Assistant Professor Sharmila, PG department of commerce proposed the vote of thanks. Assistant Professor Flora Machado compered the programme.

 

Inaugural programme was followed by an inspiring orientation by CA Kiran Vasanth which filled confidence among the aspiring students.
