Bantwal: Retainer wall of concrete road collapses on house; Boy dies at Pudu village

Bantwal, 10 Jul 2015: A boy died in Pudu village, near here when retaining wall of concrete road collapsed on the house below owing to incessant rains on Thursday July 9 night.
The six-year-old Mohammed Arshad, son of Hanif, resident of Ammemar Kunjatkal, near Farangipet at the limits of Pudu gram panchayat was the unfortunate boy passed away in the tragedy.
The retainer wall collapsed on the house when Arshad was at the backyard. The locals tried to rescue Arshad from the rubbles. The house was fully damaged in the mishap. Other five members of family survived miraculously.
Bantwal rural sub-inspector Rakshit A K and policemen assisted in the rescue efforts.
Bantwal Tahsildar Purandar Hegde, circle inspector Belliappa, Panemangaluru revenue inspector Narayan Poojary, village accountant Pradeep, staff Sadanand, Pudu gram panchayat vice president Mohammed Sharif, ZP former member Ummer Farouq, gram panchayat members Abdul Latif, Mohammed Asir, Ramlan, Durgesh B Shetty, former president Mohammed Hanif, Prakashchandra Rai, Devasya, Sevanjali Pratistan president K Krishna Kumar Poonja paid visit to the grieving family.
