Udupi: St Mary’s College - Rangers & Rovers unit inaugurated

Udupi, 08 Jul 2015: Karnataka state scouts and guides vice president Shanta V Acharya inaugurated the newly launched Rover and Rangers unit of St Mary’s College, Shirva near here on Tuesday July 7.
Speaking on the occasion Shanta Acharya said that Rovers and Rangers unit facilitate the students to develop discipline, time consciousness, steadfast in duties and interest in social welfare activities.
Udupi district scouts Commissioner Edwin Alwa was the chief guest said that extracurricular activities are helpful for the all round growth of students. He also urged the students to make use of all the opportunities of the unit.
St Mary’s College principal Professor Rajan V N in his presidential address conveyed best wishes to the students.
Udupi district scouts and guides co-ordinator Nitin Amin, unit co-ordinators Professor Sushmita and Professor Prakash were present on the dais. The unit leader Lawrence welcomed the gathering. Tanmayi Shetty proposed vote of thanks. Riya Dias compered the programme.
