Bantwal: Students lay road blockade at Kalladka against state admin over Yallalinga murder case

Bantwal, 05 Jul 2015: Over 1,000 students of Sri Rama education institution, Kalladka, near here backed by ABVP staged road blockade on Mangaluru – Bengaluru NH 75 at Kalladka, here on Saturday July 4, urging state administration to hand over the murder case of Yallalinga.
The students formed human chain at Kalladka on NH 75 disrupting traffic for sometime, to express their anguish over the apathy of state administration in finding a breakthrough in murder case of Yallalinga.
Addressing the protesters, ABVP – Karnataka co-convener Akshata K M said that Yallalinga was barbarously murdered for raising her voice against corruption. She also alleged the handiwork of a state minister in this regard.
Akshata said, ‘The state administration has not done proper investigation despite 5 – 6 students are murdered in the past 1 year,’ said Akshata. She also demanded the resignation of minister Tangadagi on moral grounds for his failure in finding breakthrough in murder case of Yallalinga.
The government has been issuing silly statements without arresting the real killers related to murder cases of Nandita, Ratna and Aksta Devadiga. The protesters alleged that the state administration has failed to solve the case of Gowtami shoot-out encounter in Bengaluru and Soujanya’s murder in Dharmasthala.
The students’ leaders presented a memorandum to the state government through Bantwal Tahsildar.
Bantwal circle inspector K U Belliyappa led the security at the spot along with Bantwal town sub-inspector Nandakumar, Rakshit Gowda, Chandrashekarayya and policemen.
