Mumbai, 29 June 2015: The life in Mumbai gives rich experiences. It provides many contexts to author books. Srujana Publication is doing excellent job in bringing out such books. The intrinsic value of books indeed makes Mumbai litterateurs unique because that emphasizes human values. Learning is a continuous journey in life, said journalist Manohar Tonse, honorary secretary of Kannada Sangha Abu Dhabi and Billawara Balaga – Abu Dhabi.
Manohar was speaking after releasing Kannada books brought out by Srujana Publication during a function held at Samarasha Bhavan of Karnataka Sangh Mumbai® here on Saturday June 27.
Sparrow Organization director Dr C S Laxmi released Kannada book ‘Mounada Kitikiyolage’ authored by Dr Sunita M Shetty and ‘Mumbai Bimba’ published by Srujana Publication on the occasion.
The renowned Kannada litterateur scientist Dr Vyasaraya Ninjoor was the specially-invited guest present.
Mumbai Kannada division in-charge Durgappa Kotiyavar introduced the book.
Mumbai Bimba, editors Dr Suma Dwarakanat, Shyamala Madhav and Padmaja Mannor were present on the dais.
Vani Ucchilkar, Dr Bharat Kumar Polipu, B S Kurkal, advocate Vasant Kalakoti, Arusha N Shetty, Jyoti Satish, Poornima S Shetty, Dr Karunakar Shetty, Sa Daya, Dr Girija Shastry, Dr K Raghunat, Hemalata Amin, Padmanabha Sasihitlu, H B L Rao, Chandrahas Suvarna Simantoor, Kodu Bhoja Shetty, Narayan Shetty Nandalike, S K Sundar, Ramesh Shivapura, Dr Eshwar Alevoor, Kamalaksha Saraf, Shakuntala Prabhu and others were present.
Susheela Devadiga rendered the prayers. Srujana Group convener Dakshayani Yadahalli delivered the introductory address. G P Kusuma welcomed the gathering and compered the programme. Advocate Amita Bhagwat proposed vote of thanks.
