Mangaluru: Veteran journalist Vasudev Ballullaya to donate body to medical college/hospital

Mangaluru, 20 Jun 2015: M Vasudev Ballullaya, Kannada activist and honest journalist who had dedicated his lifetime for education, art, literature, media, struggle and imprisonment decided to donate his body after his death to medical college/hospital.
He has expressed his desire to donate his body as it would benefit others after passing away from this earth.
Vasudev is the third son of Moodumane Subraya Ballullaya, Muliyaru village in Kasargod district of Kerala. He was determined to achieve significant in life and struggle was in his veins along with education. He began working as ticket checker in Joint Booking Bus Company. He floated Nadapremi, Kannada newspaper to reform the society and kindled struggle to save Kasargod from the clutches of Kerala.
He became general secretary of Karnataka Committee in 1956 which waged struggle to unify Kasargod with Karnataka. He was imprisoned for his leadership in this regard. He was served as reporter of Deccan Herald – English daily and Prajavani – Kannada daily. He served as guest lecturer for journalism in different institutes. He is still active despite his advanced age that is his real strength.
