Bantwal: Municipal member protests by parking garbage-laden truck at civic building

Bantwal, 12 Jun 2015: A member of municipal body parked a garbage-laden truck in front of the municipal building, here on Thursday June 11, to protest against the irregularities in garbage disposal. 

 

Govind Prabhu, opposition member in civic council staged this protest to express his anguish over the apathy of municipal body.

 

The people living nearby Kashi mutt located besides Venkataramana temple, here pleaded the civic body to clear the garbage dump as a religious programme was planned the same day. Govind Prabhu who was agitated over the issue actually determined to dump the garbage inside the compound of municipal building, but restrained and parked the truck to protest.
