Mumbai, 07 June 2015: In the ever changing society, cultural changes are bound to take place. Indian culture is a diversified culture. One culture is indeed not a genuine culture. The undivided Dakshina Kannada district is the cradle of multi-cultures. While the exclusivity of cultural leadership in the recent past is dangerous trend, Karnataka CM’s chief media advisor and senior journalist Dinesh Amin Mattu expressed his serious concern.
Dinesh Mattu was speaking during Sahitya Chintana – 20 of Sahitya Bharat, which was organized by Karnataka Sangh Mumbai at Samarasa Bhavan, Mahim (West) here on Saturday June 6.
Dinesh delivering talk on cultural changes on modern times said that the definition of culture varies. It has different notions in modern times and its much discussed issue. It’s also difficult to elaborate. The culture is exemplification of upbringing. As the civilization grows; culture gets distorted. If the sensitivity is lost, human values will be lost. The changes in culture are taking place in families and society. The culture and literature ought to make one more humane and sensitive. The conflict is never part of our culture that should not become virtue in Indian culture, said Dinesh.
Dr Vyasaraya Ninjoor, advocate Vasant Kalakoti, Mamata Rao, Dr S K Bhavani, Dr Sunita M Shetty, Mohan Marnad, Susheela Devadiga, Harish K Hejmady, S T Vijayakumar Tingalaya, Surekha Devadiga, Sa Daya, Gopal Trasi and others partaken in the discussion.
Karnataka Sangh Mumbai former president Manohar M Kori felicitated Dinesh Mattu on the same occasion.
Karnataka Sangh Mumbai honorary secretary Omdas Kannangar compered the programme. Dr Bharat Kumar Polipu proposed vote of thanks.
