Udupi: State-run School in Mundkoor hands out Rs 1,000 for new students of Class I

Udupi, 05 June 2015: The governing council of state-run Kannada Medium School at Mundkoor, near here as per their earlier announcement distributed Rs 1,000 to those who enrolled in Class I on school reopening. Twelve students availed this benefit from Mundkoor Government Model Higher Primary School.
The School governing council president Bhaskar Poojary Kallimar handed over Rs 1,000 each to 12 parents of students joined Class I during the meeting held at the school on Thursday June 4.
The school has been excelling in studies, talent contest, sports, dance and Yakshagana. It has celebrated school annual day with much fanfare. Besides the new enrolments for Class I, 15 students joined for other classes, said Bhaskar.
The School retired teacher Mohandas Shetty, parents representative Arun Kumar Shetty, head teacher Sharada, school governing council vice president Ravikala, teachers Hilda, Ashwini and Mamata and council members were present.
Sharada welcomed the gathering. Shyamala proposed vote of thanks.
