Bantwal: State-run School in Keddalike welcomes new students with colorful procession

Bantwal, 02 Jun 2015: There was a surprise at the reopening of school at Keddalike, near here on Monday June 1.
The new students were taken in a procession along with regular students with head-load offerings at Keddalike School. Its new innovation incorporated by the education department to welcome the new students.
The regular students, dignitaries, teachers, parents of children, new students were welcomed with a garland by Rotary Club – Bantwal president Prakash Karant.
The procession was accompanied by traditional music, colorful umbrellas to the temple of knowledge that is Keddalike School.
Bantwal block education officer Sheshashayana Karinja inaugurated the store of varieties of vegetables that were donated by the villagers, teachers, students and their parents, in front of the Keddalike School. The vegetable will be utilized for mid-day hot meals.
The School headmaster K Ramesh Nayak Rayee welcomed the gathering. The teacher Sahasranama proposed vote of thanks. The teacher Chandappa compered the programme.
The governing council of Keddalike School set an example that state-run schools also promote innovation in imparting quality education at a time its existence is threatened by mushrooming of private schools.
