Bantwal: Bride ready to go to nuptial casts vote in gram panchayat election at Goltamajalu

Bantwal, 29 May 2015: The voters lined-up to cast their votes at the general elections for gram panchayats on Friday May 29 were surprised to see a bride ready to go to the nuptial venue arrived at the polling booth. It was the scene cited at Goltamajalu gram panchayat near here.
The gorgeous bride Jayanti, daughter of the late Krishna Bangera and Jayanti, residing at Kolakeeru, near Kalladka, here has arrived at the polling booth to cast her vote, before proceeding to Sri Guru auditorium, Aladangady in Beltangady taluk where the nuptial will take place with the bridegroom Sridar.
The policemen on duty, election staff and the voters at the polling booth were surprised to see bride Jayanti arriving at the polling booth. Jayanti showed her identity card with the polling staff and left only after casting her vote. The voters who were on the que have also co-operated saving her precious time.
One needs to commend Jayanti’s concern to exercise her right to vote, in spite of her busy schedule on wedding day.
