Mangaluru: Review of Oriyan Toonda Oriyagapuji, Tulu movie

Mangaluru, 17 May 2015: Oriyan Toonda Oriyagapuji, Tulu movie that was premiered in city seems different among all the Tulu movies, because there happens a murder in the beginning. It’s the climax as the viewers ponder over why the murder took place, by then the comedy scenes indeed relaxes the viewers.
Oriyan Toonda Oriyagapuji, is the first Tulu movie produced under the banner of Mangala Ganesh Combines. The versatile A Gangadhar Shetty Alake is the scriptwriter, composed the music and dialogue. The producer B Ashok Kumar has made honest attempt to bring out the top quality movie.
The director Ha Su Rajashekar has contributed significantly with his ideas, because its his third movie. Rajashekar whose mother tongue Kannada was successful in projecting Tulu movie to the taste of native people.
The movie hero Preetam (Arjun Kapikad) is a juvenile criminal comes out of prison after 14 years, when he fights with goons to rescue the heroine (Prajju Poovayya) who thanks Preetam for this favor and begins to love him. She takes him home and employs at her household as a chauffer.
The heroine’s father Satyapal (Chetan Rai Mani) who was so impressed by the Preetam for rescuing the heroine gives additional charge as her bodyguard. He rescues the heroine in a goon attack and drops her home. The love blossomed in the heart of heroine, but it’s the suspense for the viewers whether Preetam truly lover her or no till the end.
It’s the third movie for Arjun Kapikad. He has proved his acting in Tulu movie, Telikeda Bolli. He also learned dance and stunts in Mumbai and mentored by his father Devdas Kapikad. The heroine Prajju is hailing from Kodagu and acted in both Kannada and Tamil, also knows a little Tulu. She has acted bold in the movie ‘Oriyan Toonda Oriyagapuji.’
The casts of the movie Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Arvind Bolar, Sundar Rai Mandara, Sai Krishna of Kudla Comedy made justice for their roles that was appreciated by the viewers. He joins the household of the heroine as houseboy although he comes to her household selling clothes as a Tamil peddler. His Tamil-mixed comedy creates laughter riot. Rekhadas Arvind Bolar’s wife also joins the same household as housemaid. Their comedy scenes were exemplary.
