Mumbai: Lawrence D D’Souza (79), Konkan Taram Jerimeri founder advisor passes away

Mumbai, 30 Apr 2015: Seventy-nine-year-old Lawrence Daniel D’Souza, founder advisor of Konkan Taram Jerimeri passed away at his residence in Kurla (West) here on Thursday April 30.
He was the first to introduce Konkani liturgical service at St Jude’s parish, Jerimeri, Kurla (West) and founder advisor of Konkan Taram Jerimeri established at St Jude’s parish 25 years ago. He had retired from BEST after working as conductor for 35 years. He was a Konkani activist in his locality.
He hailed from Taccode in Moodbidri of DK district. He is survived by his wife and children. The funeral service will be held at St Jude’s parish, Jerimeri on Friday May 1 at 11.00am and burial will be held at Holy Cross parish cemetery, Kurla (West).
