Udupi: Foundation Stone laid to ‘Casa Prianna’-the first housing project of Carol Builders and Devel

Udupi, 23 December 2010: The fast developing city of Udupi witnessed the entrance of Carol Builders and Developers owned by Pravin Menezes of Kundapur with their maiden housing project near Old Hanuman Garage Road, near Tata Show Room, Chitpadi, Udupi on Thursday, 23rd December 2010 with the blessing and laying of the foundation stone for 32 ultra-modern apartment building named ‘Casa Prianna’.

 

 

Rev. Fr. Mathew Vaz, parish priest of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Udupi blessed and laid the foundation stone at 9 am. The brief stage programme that followed was attended by Raghupati Bhat, MLA of Udupi, Jerry Vincent Dias-President of Builders’ Association Udupi, Kiran Kumar-President of Udupi Municipality, Sudhakar Shetty-Chairman of Udupi Development Authority, Monappa Shetty-Senior Manager of the Vijaya Bank, Udupi, Mattar Ratnakar Hegde-Advocate and Gopal Bhat-Architect. Besides, the parents of Pravin Menezes-Peter and Carmine Menezes and parents-in-laws f Pravin from Moodubelle-F.C. Lobo and Jacinta Lobo and a number of well-wishers were also present for the function.

 

Following the welcome of the guests by Advocate Mattar Ratnakar Hegde and offering garlands to the guests on the dais, Raghupati Bhat inaugurated the new building project ’Casa Prianna’ by formally lighting the lamp on the dais along with other guests of honour. In his address, Raghupati Bhat pointed out the rapid pace at which Udupi and the surrounding regions are developing in terms of housing complexes in which mostly the NRIs invest their hard earned money so that they can own a house in their native place. He further said that, unlike ten years ago when people were doubtful about the completion of the housing projects and many times used to lose money, the situation has changed in present time due to the professional approach of the builders and developers who want to earn the confidence and goodwill of the investors and have been completing the projects in time and handing over the apartments to the customers to their satisfaction. He said that the state government is doing its best to facilitate the developmental activities in cities like Udupi and promised full cooperation to the builders and developers and wished success to Pravin Menezes for his maiden venture in Udupi and hoped that he will contribute further to the development of Udupi through new projects in the near future.

 

 

Sudhakar Shetty, Chairman, Udupi Development Authority in his message said that as long as the builders and developers follow rules and regulation, there should be no problem in carrying on their activities. Jerry Vincent Dias, President of Builders’ Association, Udupi pointed out the problems that the builders have to face due to various reasons and said that as long as the builders abide by the rules and regulations they need not be apprehensive about the success of their projects. He congratulated Pravin Menezes on his maiden housing project and wished him well in future.

‘Casa Prianna’, the first housing project of the Carol Builders and Developers will have 32 flats of different sizes from one to two bed rooms. Pravin Menezes says that his new building will have 8 passengers lift, 100 per cent power backup, well maintained garden and covered car park facility. Uday Kumar Shetty, who is the first person to book a flat in ‘Casa Prianna’, was offered a flower bouquet by the owner of the company, Pravin Menezes.
