Dausa, 23 Apr 2015: Family members of Gajendra Singh Rajawat who hanged himself on Wednesday during an Aam Admi Party rally in Delhi, held the party leaders and Delhi administration responsible for his death.

"I personally hold Arvind Kejriwal "responsible" for this incident," Vijendra Singh, brother of Gajendra Singh Rajawat, told ANI.

"Manish Sisodia had asked Gajendra to attend Wednesday’s AAP rally," Vijendra Singh added.

Venting ire against the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, relatives claimed that Rajawat could have been saved if police and party workers acted on time.

"Why did the people let him climb up the tree? It were the AAP workers who helped him. When he was threatening to jump or hang, why didn’t police call the fire brigade and made efforts to bring him down?" asked Girdhari Singh, grandfather of Rajawat.

Family members maintained that Rajawat just wanted to highlight the plight of the farmers but was incited by the party workers to take such drastic step.

"He was a positive and a headstrong man. He was sad for the crop damage and disturbed due the callous attitude of government in distributing compensation. But situation was not that he would commit suicide. It seems that he was provoked by some in the rally," said Surendra Singh, brother-in-law of Rajawat.

Relatives also claimed that the suicide note that was recovered stated something that Rajawat might have wanted to say during the rally.

Meanwhile, PCC chief, Sachin Pilot refrained from blaming AAP directly. He however, pointed that leaders, especially from the ruling party’s party should be sensible to avoid any such cases. "It is very unfortunate that, such incident took place in the national capital and someone is forced to take his life".

Rajput Karni Sena, Lokendra Singh Kalvi said that their party will study the footages and take legal action against AAP party.

"It is very clear that some local rally organizers are involved in it. We are seeking advice of our legal cell and take all necessary action."
