Sullia: MP Nalin launches Adarsha Grama Yojana at Balpa village

Sullia, 20 Apr 2015: If the common man gets fully involved in developmental programmes of government, the projects will become highly successful. The participation of comman folks is more essential that peoples’ representatives and government officers. MP’s Adarsha Grama Yojana has been launched in this regard, which has to reach everyone, said Dakshina Kannada district MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
MP Nalin was speaking during the meeting of district level officers and villagers of Balpa village in Sullia taluk, in order to implement MP’s Adarsha Grama Yojana in Balpa village near here on Monday April 20.
The Yojana aims at achieving health, cleanliness, educational empowerment and community bond. It will help for the integral progress of villagers. It’s the right of people to demand development of their villages. The sensible citizens ought to help the local governance by paying the taxes promptly, added MP Nalin. He urged the people to avail the benefits of Yojana.
The villagers of Balpa urged MP Nalin to set up 4 primary health centres, to develop school, open branches of national banks, develop roads, install transformers in different location, open farming assistance centre, animal husbandry office, revenue office, irrigation office etc.
MP Nalin instructed all the department officers to submit a report on the possibilities of fulfilling the demands of villagers within a week.
Besides the district level different department officers, heads of NGOs, private sector entrepreneurs, heads of MRPL, OMPL, SEZ, MCF, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project, faculties of Srinivas Engineering College, announced the contributions for the integral development of Balpa village.
Sullia MLA Angara, ZP president Shanti Timmappa Gowda, ADC Sadashiv Prabhu, ZP deputy secretary Umesh, ZP member Devaraj, TP president Jayaprakash, TP member Vimala, Balpa gram panchayat president Lata, Adarsha Grama Yojana implementation officer Lokesh and others were present.
