Mangaluru, 29 Mar 2015: UGC sponsored daylong national level workshop on Inclusive Practices – Creating Classroom Experiences to Enhance Teaching-Learning was organized by the department of PG Studies in Commerce in association with IQAC, Besant Evening College at their auditorium, here on Saturday March 28.
Inaugurating the workshop, Dr K Sankaran, director, Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management opined that teachers should teach in such a way that will influence, motivate and inspire students to learn. He urged teachers to adopt Learner-centric and more self-directed approach in the teaching-learning process.
Professor Jnaneshwar Pai Maroor, workshop chief advisor gave brief insight into the various themes and aspects of the workshop.
Dr Carmelita Goveas, principal of Besant Evening College stressed on innovations in pedagogical aspects of curriculum, which is the need of the hour.
Dr Satish Kumar Shetty, IQAC co-ordinator welcomed the gathering. Professor Ishwar Poojary proposed the vote of thanks.
Dr Deepa Sethi, Assistant Professor, IIM - Kozikode and Professor Sooraj Noronha, School of Management, Manipal University were the resource persons. More than 150 delegates from various parts of the country actively participated and presented research papers in the workshop.
