Abu Dhabi: Jet Airways Launches direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Mangalore, Pune and Ahmedabad today

Abu Dhabi, 29 Mar 2015: Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, today launched daily direct international flights from Abu Dhabi to Ahmedabad, Pune and Mangalore. The first flight to Mangalore left at 08:45am and arrived at Mangalore at 13:45. The return flight from Mangalore will be at 17:40 and ETA Abu Dhabi 20:10.
The inaugural function held at the Abu Dhabi airport 8:00am amidst well-known dignitaries and Jet Airways officials namely: NajibFaissalChehade, Head of Partner & Customer Airline, Etihad Airways, Ganesh Ullal, Director of Marketing, Omeir Travel Agency (GSA), ShakirKantawala, Vice President - Gulf, Middle East & North Africa, Sudhir Kumar Shetty (COO Global – UAE Exchange), Mr. Melroy D’souza, Airport Manager – Abu Dhabi, Mr. Sarvotham Shetty (President, Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha, Mr. Shekar Shetty (MD Arab Udupi Restaurants), Biju George Varghese(Area Manager – Abu Dhabi/Al Ain), Rohan Alva, Cargo Manager (Gulf), Wasim Zaidi, General Manager - Gulf Sales, Sarosh Bhatti, Airline Account Manager – Abu Dhabi Airports, Fakhar Khan, Manager Partner Airlines – Etihad Airways, EnamulHaque, Director – Operations, Omeir Travel Agency (GSA), Mr. Aldrin Kenneth, Area Manager – Dubai & Northern Emirates, Sunil Nair (Sr. Sales Executive),Lubbna Ali (Sales Executive) and ShalimaAjeed, Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator (Jet Airways (India) Ltd.).
The inauguration was held at the Etihad Premier Lounge by Mr. Sudheer Kumar Shetty by cutting the ribbons attended by all the above dignitaries and Jet Airways officials and staff. The inaugural was followed by cutting the Jet Airways cake at the Premier Inn Restaurant and delicious breakfast was served for all the attendees including the media.
Starting today, 29 March, 2015, the new services will strengthen Jet Airways’ growing international network and offer connections from destinations in the Gulf and inbound traffic into India from North America, Europe and Africa over Abu Dhabiwith its strategic partner, Etihad Airways.
It is the first time that Jet Airways has offered international flights to Ahmedabad, Mangalore and Pune.
Jet Airways currently operates daily flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Goa from Abu Dhabi.
Jet Airways is currently the only private Indian airline to operate daily flights across 3 major airports in the UAE with over 50 daily flights to multiple destinations in the Gulf from cities in India.

With the launch of these services our guests will now have access to 11 destinations in India and with our strategic partner Etihad Airways, a total of 15 destinations from UAE. We are confident that the new services will establish Jet Airways as the preferred carrier by air travellers in our markets.”
The airline will deploy a Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (NG) aircraft on the Ahmedabad, Mangalore and Pune routes.
The aircraft have a capacity of 12 seats in Premiere class and 156 seats in Economy class.
Notes:
Jet Airways flight 9W 520 will depart Ahmedabad at 0505 hrs and arrive Abu Dhabi at 0650 hrs (LT). The return flight 9W 519 will depart Abu Dhabi at 2155 hrs (LT) and arrive Ahmedabad at 0225hrs the next day.
This flight will also be code shared by our strategic partner Etihad Airways.
Jet Airways flight 9W 502 will depart Mangalore at 1740 hrs and arrive Abu Dhabi at 2010 hrs (LT). The return flight 9W 501 will depart Abu Dhabi at 0845 hrs (LT) and arrive Mangalore at 1345 hrs.
Jet Airways flight 9W 514 will depart from Pune at 2020 hrs and will arrive into Abu Dhabi international airport at 2215 hrs (local time). The return flight 9W 513 will depart Abu Dhabi at 2315 hrs (LT) and arrive at Pune at 0405 hrs the next day.
