Bantwal: Minister Ramanatha Rai, DC visit Prabha’s house; offer condolences

Bantwal, 11 Mar 2015: The state forests, DK district-in-charge minister and also MLA Ramanath Rai visited the family of software engineer Prabha at Nandagokula, in Amtoor villagem near here on Tuesday March 10.
The minister Rai who offered condolences to the grieving family said that the government is pressurising centre to persuade Australian government in nabbing the assailants. The government will also help in bringing the mortal remains of Prabha to her native village.
Prabha was slain a few days ago in Australia by unknown assailant when she took a shortcut across the park during the night to reach home.
Congress leader Charndraprakash Shetty and others were present.
DC pays visit
Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commission A B Ibrahim along with various officials visited engineer Prabha’s family on Wednesday March 11 and offered condolences on behalf of the state government.
The DC said that the mortal remains of Prabha will be brought to Amtoor on Friday March 13 after it reaches Bengaluru on Thursday 12 March.
SP Dr Sharanappa SD, Bantwal Tahsildar Isaac and others were present.
