MLA Bava to celebrate his 50th birthday by donating cattle
Mangaluru, 07 Mar 2015: Mangaluru North MLA B A Moideen Bava on Saturday, March 7, announced that he will be donating highly productive cattle to 25 most deserving families in his constituency on March 22, as a part of his 50th birthday. Bava will turn 50 on March 15.
It may be recalled that Bava had drawn the ire of a section of the society due to his response to the Kabir shootout case.
On being questioned whether the cattle donation initiative was a gimmick to absolve himself of allegations surrounding the said case, he said that he was right in his place and that he had no remorse for conducting a press meet just hours after the shootout news broke out.
“Best cattle will be donated to the poorest of the poor so that they can make a living out of it. This move has been made to provide livelihood to at least a few, without any political agenda,” he said.
Job fair at Bava’s College
Bava informed that he will be organizing a job fair at Bava’s College, Kulur on his birthday. He said that the intention of the job fair was to provide employment to the youngsters of Dakshina Kannada. Around 1,000-1,500 job aspirants are expected to take part in the drive.
Top companies mainly from Mangaluru will be participating in the fair, Bava said adding that he had also invited his relatives owning businesses in the gulf to take part. “The job fair will be held from 10a.m. to 5p.m. There will be no entry fee to the applicants,” he said.
