Bangalore, 23 Feb 2015: The students of Canadian International School displayed some amazing work of art during Festival of the Arts event held at its campus. The fair had paintings, clay modeling, puppet making, quilling, kite flying, pottery session, ceramics, and glass ware photography, sculpture, hand-crafted goods, music, visual & performing arts, drama performance and much more interesting events.
These kid artists have passionately poured their heart out and created canvases, colourful drawings pinned on the soft boards to unique wall art with vibrant colours and brushstrokes. Artist from various fields were invited to conduct workshops and share their knowledge. The students also witnessed some engaging performance by various groups with special costumes, the fierce make up etc which had the audience wanting for more. The entire CIS community truly enjoyed the essence of art in every form.
The school also provided a platform for various NGO’s whose objectives were to revive art and craft and support the folk and traditional artisans and the underprivileged. Few NGO’s such as ’Belaku Trust’, ’Gramin Angadi’ and ’Sevita’ had put up their stall to promote the works of the artisans. This gave them the platform not only to raise funds but also spread awareness of their projects.
Our students are really creative. We want them to showcase their creativity and we give them opportunities to strive toward their potential. At CIS we believe in the Arts and our Festival of Arts event demonstrated how artistically inclined our students are. This festival is fabulous to witness", says Ms. Shweta Sastri, Executive Director, Canadian International School".
