Dubai: Tulu Siri to host cultural fest ’Tuluva Siri Isira’ on Feb 27

Dubai, 22 Feb 2015: Tulu Siri Dubai, a newly formed organization will host Tulu cultural festival ’Tuluva Siri Isira 2015’ on Friday February 27 at India Club, Karama Dubai (behind Indian High School). The day-long programme will commence at 10.30 am and conclude at around 6 pm.

 

District Rajyotsava Awardee Dr Y N Shetty will be arriving all the way from Udupi to inaugurate the programme. Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha president Sarvotham Shetty, Fortune Group of Hotels MD Praveen Shetty, editor-in-chief of daijiworld.com Walter Nandalike, Chilli Willy Trading MD Satish Venkataramana and Sprayteck Contracting Co MD Ramachandra Hegde are expected to grace the function as chief guests.

Under the leadership of president B K Padmaraj Yekkar, the day-long programme will consist of the following:

Sahitya Siri

Collection of various books on Tulu and various Tulu music CDs will be released on the occasion.

 

Bhashey Siri

Presided by B K Ganesh Rai, the programme will have speakers from Abu Dhabi, Manohar Thonse, from Dubai, Nanu Marol and Sudharshan Hegde and from Sharjah Sannu Monis and Padmaraj Yekkar.

 

Kabithe Siri

Presided by Irshad Moodubidre, Dubai, poets Gopinath Rao from Sharjah, M E Moolur from Dubai, Robert Fernandes Udyavar from Dubai, Stany D’Souza Bela from Dubai, Arthur Pereira Omzoor from Dubai will be reciting poetry.

 

Sangeetha Siri

Coordinated by musician Arun Carlo and group, singers Dony Correa, Preema Rodrigues, Asha Correa and Sandra D’Souza will entertain the audience with melodious songs.

 

Samskruthika Siri

Ganesh Shetty Bailoor and group will be presenting ’Tulu Naada Vaibhava’, a cultural dance show choreographed by Jasmitha Vivek of Smile Creations and dancer Sparsha Shetty.

 

 

The closing ceremony will be inaugurated Dr Y N Shetty and graced by Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha president Sarvotham Shetty, Fortune Group of Hotels MD Praveen Shetty, editor-in-chief of daijiworld.com Walter Nandalike, Chilli Willy Trading MD Satish Venkataramana, Sprayteck Contracting Co MD Ramachandra Hegde, Acme Building Materials MD Harish Sherigar, Dhwani Prathistana president Prakash Rao Payyar, Daiji Dubai founder president Dayan D’Souza and Impress Teck Co LLC MD Sudhir Kumar Raju Poojary as chief guests.

 

The show will be compered by well-known MC Navin Shetty Edmaar of Namma TV fame who will be arriving all the way from Mangaluru.

 

President and members of Tulusiri Dubai have invited all Tuluvas residing in the UAE to come in large numbers and witness the grand Tulu event.
