Mangaluru: Speeding Car runs over pedestrian at Mulky

Mangaluru, 22 Feb 2015: A pedestrian who was trying to cross the road at Kolnad, near Mulky here was run over by a speeding car, on Saturday February 21.

 
The deceased is about sixty-year-old and is yet to be identified. The sources informed that he hails from Tamil Nadu and used to sell chicks going to houses. He was critically wounded and rushed to Srinivas Hospital, Mukka where he was pronounced brought dead.

 

 

 
As per the eye witnesses the car driver did not even apply the brakes while the man was crossing the road in front of the Bharat Benz Showroom at Kolnad, near Mulky, here. The locals rushed to catch hold of the car driver who was trying to flee from the spot. The injured was taken to Srinivas Hospital in his car.

 
Mulky police registered a case in this regard. Further details are awaited.
