Puttur: Info programme on Role of Students in Consumer Protection at SPC

Puttur, 18 Feb 2015: The department of social work of St Philomena College, in association with Dakshina Kannada ZP Higher Primary School, Hanthyar and Suraksha Consumer Forum of St Philomena College, here, organized an Information Programme on the ‘Role of Students in Consumer Protection’ at ZP Higher Primary School, near here recently.
Professor Laveena Nancy Pinto, faculty member, department of social work inaugurated the programme.
Professor Dinakara Rao, director of Suraksha Consumer Forum was the resource person.
Ashwini N and Preethi K, senior members of Suraksha Consumer Forum were the co-resource persons. The resource persons have made presentation on consumer rights, consumer duties, consumer disputes and settlement of consumer disputes.
Sudhakar Rao, president of school betterment council presided the programme.
The School headmaster Hariyanna Gowda and members of school betterment council were present on the occasion.
The students of social work Sachin welcomed the gathering. Triveni proposed the vote of thanks. Reshma compered the programme.
