Bantwal: Plans afoot to develop tree-park @ Rs 3 crore at Circuit House - Minister Rai

Bantwal, 18 Feb 2015: The plans are afoot to develop tree-park @ Rs 3 crore in collaboration with plantations department at circuit house, here, said state forests minister B Ramanat Rai.
The minister Rai was speaking after inaugurating nature’s sanctuary that was developed at a cost of Rs 40 lac by forest department at Karinjeshwar temple, here on Tuesday February 17.
The nature is visible God, while an attempt has been made to conserve nature by developing nature’s sanctuary at the temple in order to bring home the message of deforestation leads to environmental imbalance, said minister Rai.
The additional chief forest conservator Kishan Singh S, Dakshina Kannada district Additional Deputy Commissioner Sadashiv Prabhu, DCF Sadashiv Bhat, ACF A S Abbas, administrator Parameshwar Naika, chief executive officer Vedava, ZP member Chandraprakash Shetty, TP vice president Vilasini, member B Padmashekar Jain, former president Sudarshan Jain, Kavalapadoor gram panchayat president Abdul Razak, Kavalamudoor gram panchayat president Yacquob, Sullia sub division ACF Dr Dinesh, Udupi ACF Sheena Kottari, Beltangady forester Sundar Shetty, Panja forest officer Praveen Shetty, Bantwal forester N Subramanya Rao, deputy forester K A Mathew, forest guard Laxminarayan were present.
The deputy forest conservator Dr K T Hanumantappa welcomed the gathering. The chief forest conservator Dr Sanjay Bijoor delivered the introductory address. P Jinaraj Ariga proposed vote of thanks. The education co-ordinator Krishna Acharya compered the programme.
