Udupi: Sports Day at Madwa Vadiraja Technical Institute, Bantakal

Udupi, 15 Feb 2015: Madwa Vadiraja Technical Institute, Bantakal organized fifth annual sports day here on Saturday February 14.

Manipal University sports director Dr Kemparaj H B inaugurated the sports day at the campus, here on Saturday morning.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kemparaj said that active participation in sports helps to maintain mental agility to accept the outcome and to be competitive in life, said Dr Kemparaj.

Swami Vishwavallba of Sode mutt inaugurated the sports day and distributed the prizes to the winners of different competitions.

 

Madwa Vadiraja Technical Institute principal Professor Dr Radhakrishna S Ithal, Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust trustee Raghavendra Tantri, dean Professor Dr A Ganesh, sports director Prashant M D and heads of departments were present.

The students union sports secretary Kalyan Shetty administered the oath to participants. Akash Shetty welcomed the gathering. Ashwatta Shetty introduced the dignitaries. The sports secretary Navya Sanil proposed vote of thanks.
