Bantwal: Marauding bus driver fractures leg of college girl at Vittal

Bantwal, 13 Feb 2015: A private bus ran over the leg of a college girl student at Vittal bus stand here on Thursday February 12.

 

The bus ran over the leg of Vidyashree, the student of First Grade College, Vittal, daughter of Nagappa Gowda, residing at Kantadka in Alike village, near here while she was walking towards the bus stand to board the bus to go to the college.

 

 

The eyewitnesses said that the bus while entering the bus stand hit the girl student and ran over her leg when she fell on the ground.

 

She has been admitted for major injury in a hospital at Mangaluru.

 

Students stage protest

Over 200 students of same college staged protest at Vittal junction, demanding the bus owner to bear the medical expenses of Vidyashree and also compensate her poor family.
