Riyadh: Khidmah Foundation holds AGM

Riyadh/KSA, 12 Feb 2015: Khidmah Foundation (KF) Riyadh unit held its annual general body meeting at Maqsoura Conference Hall of the East Ramada Hotel Batha here recently.

 

The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mohammed Nasrullah Kandlur.

 

 

Dr Shafiq Ahmed was the chief guest of the occasion. He appreciated the efforts of KF and urged the audience and KF members to follow Quran and teachings of Prophet Mohammed to live worthy lives. He noted some verses from the Quran related to virtues of helping the neighbor a d needy brethrens. He further explained that Islam is a religion of peace; one  must indulge in tolerance and forgiveness. He said, ‘We should prove our worth by practicing high moral standards and set an example to entire community.’

 

Saifuddin Kirimanjeshwar, M H Tahir and Abdul Gafoor Shaikh Basrur advised youngsters the importance for the social welfare activities.

 

KF – Riyadh unit general secretary Fazlu Rehman Kolkar briefed about efforts of KF in Kundapur taluk of Udupi district during 2014-2015 with a slide show. He thanked the members and Committee for their support during his tenure and appealed youngsters to join KF to continue their humanitarian service.

 

KF – Riyadh unit treasurer Abdul Gafoor Shaikh Basrur presented the annual report and the annual accounts on the same occasion.   

 

A total of 38 executive Committee members were elected for the term and 6 new members joined the Committee.

 

 

Abdussalam Moulana welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to all the Khidmah life members, office bearers of other organization and the guests.

 

KF president Kolkar Jaffer, vice president Ansar Shaik and KF – Riyadh unit president Moulana Abu Mohammed were present at the dais.

 

Nasrullah compered the programme and thanked all the attendees and executive Committee members of Khidmah Riyadh for extending their support.
