Udupi: Pravruti, 3-Day Job Fair underway at Bantakal Institute of Tech & Mgmt

Udupi, 05 Feb 2015: Sri Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM) organized Pravruti, a three-day mega rural job fair, Pravruti at its campus, Bantakal, near here from Thursday February 5 to Saturday February 7.
The response was overwhelming from job seekers across Udupi, DK and neighbouring districts on the inaugural day. The fair had more than 2,000 registrations within a few hours from the inauguration. The fair is open to the current final year students and passed out batch students of the degree and engineering colleges.
Over 34 reputed companies, including several MNCs, offering more than one thousand jobs in fields like development, ITES, BPO, tech support, finance, accounting, marketing etc. are involved in the fair.
Sri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust chairman Swami Vishwavallaba inaugurated the Pravruti in the presence of directors and HR officials of recruiting companies - Manju M, Vinay V, Bharath Shankar, Vishal, Anup and Santosh are participating in the fair.
Ratnakumar and Raghavendra Tantri of Sri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, principal Professor Radhakrishna S Aithal and dean (academics) Professor A Ganesha were also present.
Expressing his happiness and satisfaction over the enthusiastic response to the event, Dr Aithal said that it was an encouraging signal to the socially relevant initiative taken up by Sri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust with the objective of bringing together the jobseekers and job providers, which would result in gainful employment of the youth in the region. He urged the graduates of the region to make use of the opportunity and participate in the fair, which would continue for the next 2 days.
