Karkal: ST Community of Mundkoor stages sit-in seeking basic amenities

Karkal, 09 Jan 2015: The people belonging to ST community of Mulladka and Saccheripete locality, near here staged sit-in in front of the office of Mundkoor gram panchayat here on Thursday January 8, to address their grievances on housing and basic amenities.

 

 

The people are deprived of basic amenities. Despite their several pleas to concerned officers; their issues are not resolved. The community is finding it difficult to avail state facilities as they are not able to get title deeds for their dwellings.

 

The community leaders presented their memorandum to PDO Sasidar Acharya and revenue officer Harish in this regard.

 

Karkal taluk Committee former president Sasikala, Belman ST community president Bhavani, organizer Babu, Ranga Santoorkopla, gram panchayat member Leela and others were present.
