M’luru: 2 Road Mishaps in city as New Year approaches; all survive

Mangaluru, Dec 30, 2014: As the year is drawing closer, the people who were involved in 2 separate road mishaps were fortunate to survive here on Monday December 29.

 

 

A Bolero was turned turtle when an Omni suddenly appeared in an intersection on National Highway 66 at Haleyangady, near Mulky, here on Monday. All the passengers and driver of Bolero survived miraculously.

 

A multi-axle truck rolled over a ditch between Mahaveer roundabout and Nantoor roundabout, whilst the sleep-deprived driver was attempting to park his truck. There was high voltage cables passing besides the highway that posed imminent threat to the driver and for the inmates of old age home nearby run by religious nuns. Meanwhile, the driver fled from the scene fearing worst from mob, but nothing happened.
