Mangaluru: Rape attempt on four-year-old foiled, accused arrested

 

Mangaluru, 23 Dec 2014: A failed rape attempt on a four-year-old girl has been reported from Deralakatte on Tuesday, December 23.

 

In a shocker, a 23-year old man tried to rape a four-year old girl child at an apartment here. The accused is Ashraf, a cable operator by profession and a resident of Kedambadi House, Manjeshwar.

 

While on duty at an apartment here, Ashraf happened to see the girl and he tried to rape her. Fortunately, the timely arrival of the family members to the room averted the tragedy. Frightened with this, Ashraf fled the spot. A case was immediately registered at the Konaje Police Station. In a quick operation, the police arrested the accused.
