Mangaluru: Karnataka Muslim Parishat seeks Minority Commission to put tab on communal outfits

Mangaluru, 12 Dec 2014: Karnataka Muslim Parishat (KMP) presented a memorandum to Balkis Banu, chairperson of Karnataka state minority Commission, here on Thursday December 12, to provide adequate security to minority Muslims living in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu and Uttar Kannada district from communal forces who are taking law unto their hands.
KMP urged the minority Commission legal action on communal outfits - VHP, Bajrang Dal and Sri Rama Sene who are troubling Muslim students, youth and general public on false accusations by taking law unto their hands in abovementioned districts. KNP demanded the police to take action on those activists of communal outfits, who stop the trucks legally transporting cattle to abattoirs and thrashing the driver and his helpers, snatching their valuables.
KNP also urged the police department not to harass innocent Muslims in a few police stations, while the time of passport verifications by posing irrelevant questions, in order to avoid further delay in issuance of passport. It also urged the law enforcement agencies to arrest the Muslims on silly cases and display their pics thereby disgracing them.
