Karkal: BJP protests for shunting new ambulance service from Belman PHC

Karkal, Dec 11, 2014: BJP activists and locals staged protest in Belman, near here on Thursday December 11, for shunting the new ambulance service of 108 to Kaup that comes under the legislative assembly constituency of state urban and Udupi district-in-charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake.
The new ambulance was stationed at primary health center (PHC), Belman, near here a week ago, in order to attend to emergencies of people living in Belman, Nandalike, Mundkoor and Bola.
The protesters submitted memorandums to Belman PHC resident medical officer Dr Satish in order to forward the same to district health officer and Udupi district Deputy Commissioner, to reserve the new ambulance to Belman PHC.
Udupi district BJP secretary Sadashiv Shetty, Belman BJP president Mohandas Shetty, Belman gram panchayat president Shankar Kundar, TP former president Jayaram Salian, TP member Ravindra Madivala, minority unit president Arif Kallotte, Gerald D’Souza, Suresh Rao Kedinje, Belman gram panchayat former president Mallika Rao, Vimala Shetty, Devendra Nayak, Janardhan Tantri, Prabhakar Shetty and others participated in the protest.
