Bantwal: Public Instructions Dept popularizes playschool concept at Yuvajana Mela

Bantwal, 07 Dec 2014: A few children were playing with broken bangle pieces, green leaves, paper pieces, gum etc in their hands. When enquired, I realized it was the playschool, learn while you play.
The playschool that was set up by public instructions department as part of state level Yuvajana Mela at Vittal, near here attracts the interest of general public. It gives the same experience of play school classroom in any school.
The study materials for the students play school are organized meticulously. The parents who have only heard of playschool are given a chance to have first hand info.
The practical playschool classroom has been set up by education department officers on the direction of Bantwal block education officer Sheshashayana Karinja, in order to effectively implement play school as it was successfully introduced in all state-run schools across Karnataka. The play school classroom is the concept conceptualized by education expert Jiddu Krishnamurti. The parents can know first hand how the students of Class I to Class III can involve themselves in study process. It’s the fastest and most satisfying study method. The study materials that are prepared by students themselves are properly displayed. In the first stage, info on 18 milestones is provided. The brief note on progress after undergoing the full study also provided.
The education co-ordinator Rajesh, education department staff Gopalakrishna, Narayan Gowda, Ravikala, Swapna, Dayanand, Bharat Kumar and others are responsible for managing the playschool classroom.
