Kundapur: Kollur Diary, authored by journalist Shekar Ajekar released

Kundapur, Nov 29, 2014: It’s a unique concept to release a book at a children’s nursery. It’s rare indeed to such an idea, more so, a book ‘Kollur Diary’ about their own hometown being released amongst the children is commendable, said Kundapur taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Narayan Karvi.
Narayan was speaking after releasing ‘Kollur Diary’ authored by journalist Shekar Ajekar, during a simple function held at a children’s nursery located on the road along Souparnika River, near here on Friday November 28 afternoon.
‘It’s a worthy attempt to streamline info about a town, let more revised copies come in the future,’ hoped Naryan.
Speaking on the occasion, Abhimon Residency proprietor Pradeep Kumar Pillai said that the book release event has emphasized on children are future citizens. The book release in their midst about their hometown will benefit them. It’s a unique experience to all.
The veteran sculptor Shankar Acharya Ajekar distributed the sweets to the children.
Shekar Ajekar welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks.
