Udupi: Education needs to unravel inherent talent of students - Fr Lawrence

Udupi, Nov 28, 2014: Every child has treasure of knowledge, while the studies should focus on unraveling such knowledge and create favorable environment in this regard, said Fr Lawrence B D’Souza, parish priest of St Joseph’s parish, Belman, near here.

 

Fr Lawrence was speaking after inaugurating Spark – 2014, talent contest of St Joseph English Medium School, Belman, near here on Thursday November 27.

 

Belman assistant parish priest Fr John Baptist Moras was the chief guest said, ‘the education institutions and teachers play key role in realizing the aspirations of students,’ said Fr John.

 

 

ZP member Supreet Shetty, Rotary Club – Belman president Suresh Rao, founder president K Suryakant Shetty, Lions Club president and district Human Rights Commission president Udayakumar Shetty, teacher B Pundalika Marate Shirva, Belman parish council vice president Gregory Menzes, secretary Lydia Aranha conveyed best wishes for the programme.

 

Belman convent superior Sr Usha Stella, St Joseph’s Primary School head teacher Sr Monica, St Joseph’s High School head teacher Renilda Pereira were present at the dais.

 

The prizes were distributed to the winners of different competitions.

 

The School head teacher Janet D’Souza presented the report. 

 

The teacher Nisha Devadiga welcomed the gathering. Bro Arun D’Souza, Gayatri Bhat, Priscilla D’Souza, Harshendra Kumar Jain, Sunanda Salian, Mervin Mendonca assisted in the programme. The teacher Supreeta D’Paula proposed vote of thanks.

 

The students presented variety cultural shows as part of entertainment programe.
