Udupi: Women empowerment lies in educating girls - minister Sorake

Udupi, 22 Nov 2014: The state urban development and Udupi district-in-charge minister Vinayakumr Sorake the annual special camp that began with the slogan of For healthy India – healthy youth that was organized by Udupi district NSS unit in association with Dr G Shankar Government Women’s First Grade College and PG Studies Centre, here at Surya Chaitanya Global Academy School, Kutyar, near here on Friday November 21.
Addressing over 100 women NSS students, minister Vinayakumar said that NSS camps gives real-life experiences that prepare the students to face the challenges of life. The educated girls can empower women, said minister Sorake.
Speaking on the occasion, Vedamurti Kutyar Kenja Sridar Tantri said that if an individual is maintains personal hygiene, purity of heart, health, softness in conversation, reasonable education and brotherly attitude that is reflected on his interactions with the society.
Kutyar gram panchayat president Roopa Achar also spoke on the occasion.
The College principal B Jagdish Rao presided the programme.
