Hassan district Tulu Koota launched at Sakleshpur

Hassan/Sakleshpur, Nov 21, 2014: Akhila Bharata Tulu Okkoota® president Dharmapal U Devadiga inaugurated Hassan district Tulu Koota during the function held at Sheenappa Shetty Kalyana Mantapa of Bunts Bhavan, Balegadde, Sakleshpur, near here on Thursday November 20.

 

Hassan district Tulu Koota president H A Bhaskar presided the programme here on Thursday.

 

Vishwa Tulu Sammelan organizing secretary Nitte Sasidar Shetty was the chief guest of the occasion.

 

Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy former president Umanat Kotian, Taranat Boloor, Chandrashekar Suvarna, Sulochana Ramakrishna, Karunakar Shetty, Mudigere Narendra Shetty, S Laxman, Vishwanat Gowda and Sasidar Shetty were the guests of honor.

 

 

The dignitaries released Tulu audio CD of ‘Paddeyida Pareta’ on the same occasion.   

 

H K Bhaskar felicitated Krishna Suvarna Harehalli (Ville Parle – Mumbai) and donors during the programme. 

 

Speaking on the occasion, Dharmapal said, ‘It was a historical day to be written in golden letters because Tulu Koota has been inaugurated in Hassan – Sakleshpur district.  Tulu language, its distinct culture and traditional practices is what drives Tulu natives settled across the district to unite for the glory of their mother tongue,’ said Dharmapal.

 

Nitte Sridar Shetty briefed on the Vishwa Tuluvere Parba – 2014 scheduled to be held at Mangalore fromDecember 12 to December 14.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Umanat Kotian called on the parents to create awareness on Tulu among their children to sustain the same for posterity.

 

Tulu Koota – Hassan convener Ajit Shetty, co-conveners T Vishwanat, Sanjit Shetty and Chandrashekar Shetty, vice presidents A H Abubaker, M Annappa, B M Harish Acharya, Haji S M Mohammed, P R Harish and T M Anand, secretaries K Somanat, Vishwanat K, Krishna Katalli, Umanat Suvarna and others were present.

 

Chennaveni M Shetty and Mallika A Shetty rendered the prayers. Sheenappa Alva welcomed the gathering. Ajit Shetty proposed vote of thanks.

 

Earlier, the dignitaries were brought in colorful procession to the venue from Sakleshpur town.
