Mumbai: Ryan Group celebrates Children’s Day by felicitating donors of Food Bucket Challenge

Mumbai, 14 Nov 2014: The Ryan Schools’ Food Bucket Challenge, a unique initiative launched in metro by the Ryan International Group of Institutions under the visionary guidance of Dr Augustine F Pinto, chairman and Grace Pinto, managing director of the Group continues to receive overwhelming response from the Ryan student-parent community and citizen supporters. Their generous contribution has indeed made a big difference in the lives of the poor and the needy. Since its launch, over10,000 children from various orphanages and NGOs have been provided a nutritious meal. Currently, over 2,00,000 kilograms have been collected and distributed to more than 40 NGOs serving the poor and the needy. On behalf of these children, the Ryan Group felicitated and acknowledged the generous contributors in a programme organized at St Andrew’s Auditorium, Bandra on Friday November 14.
The Ryan Group also commemorated the joyous occasion of the Children’s Day by giving away the special ‘Children’s Awards’ to the winners of the recently held duet singing, musical orchestra and elocution competitions in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
The event was graced by a host of dignitaries. Mumbai University vice-chancellor Dr Rajan Welukar, Shaina N C, Doordarshan additional director general Mukesh Sharma, Asia Pacific head of Yahoo Rajeev Singh Sahni, bollywood singer Sanjivni Belande, TV artiste Ali Asgar, lyricists Manoj Muntashir and Prashant Hingole and Dr Shrikhande among many others.
Ryan Group managing director Grace Pinto, CEO Ryan Pinto, director Snehal Pinto felicitated the guests during the function.
The parents, students and well wishers who contributed towards Food Bucket Challenge were felicitated and thanked for their valuable contribution. This laudable initiative by the Ryan Group is gaining a momentum and moving close to the target of bringing 1 million smiles on the faces of the hungry, the poor and the needy.
